According to the BNB Chain blog, the blockchain ecosystem has seen significant activity across various sectors, including DeFi, AI, and payments. Key Metrics and Activity The BNB Chain reported a Daily Active Users (DAU) count of 1,272,884 on the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and 1,922,596 on opBNB for the specified week. The trading volume reached $6.25 billion, with transaction numbers hitting 32,281,755 on BSC and 24,809,131 on opBNB. The Total Value Locked (TVL) as of April 14 was $8.256 billion, indicating robust engagement within the ecosystem. New Projects Onboarded A variety of new projects have been introduced to the BNB Chain, enhancing its infrastructure and service offerings. Among these are Quex Tech, which provides on-chain real-world data verification, and Crypto Use, a payment solution enabling merchants to accept cryptocurrencies securely. Other notable projects include Ormi, offering scalable data infrastructure, and BNB4.AI, a launchpad for AI and Web3 projects. Additional projects such as AIDA, an AI-powered trading terminal, and Market.Win, a DeFi prediction market, are also making strides. The ecosystem further expands with Gameness, an AI-driven gaming data platform, and Deploy Meme, a launchpad for meme tokens. Ecosystem Updates Significant updates include the 31st BNB Burn, which saw 1.579 million BNB (~$916 million) removed from circulation, reflecting BNB Chain’s commitment to deflationary tokenomics. The third round of the $100 million Liquidity Incentive for CEX Listings was announced, continuing to support projects with liquidity and exchange exposure. The fifth TVL Incentive Program concluded, highlighting increased community and validator participation. The BNB AI Hack provided a platform for AI x Web3 startups, fast-tracking successful teams into the Liquidity Incentive Program. Technical Developments and Initiatives Upcoming technical advancements include the completion of testnet hardforks for opBNB and BSC, with mainnet hardforks scheduled for April 21 and April 29, respectively.
