Standard Chartered's Zodia Markets Completes $18.25M Series A Funding Round, with Participation from Circle Ventures
BlockBeats News, July 28th, According to official sources, Zodia Markets, a cryptocurrency trading firm owned by Standard Chartered (STAN), announced the completion of a $18.25 million Series A funding round. The round was led by Pharsalus Capital, with participation from Circle Ventures, The Operating Group, XVC Tech, Token Bay Capital, Human Capital, and other strategic investors.
According to a press release issued on Monday, the Series A funding will be used to support Zodia's international expansion efforts and further develop its stablecoin payment services.
Zodia targets financial institutions, providing them with a mix of wholesale financing and round-the-clock digital asset trading to "reimagine traditional forex capital flows through cross-border real-time stablecoin settlements," CEO Usman Ahmad stated in the announcement.
